The Macs

We are Mat and Nikki MacDougall .  We started our relationship as friends nearly 16 years ago in Missouri while I (Nikki) was in college.  Mat was living in the same town with a friend after being put on academic probation from the college I attended.  We were friends for several years before we started dating.  We each were dating other people and advised each other on relationship issues; which was difficult considering we both had strong feelings for each other.  We finally started dating during my senior year in college, but by that time Mat had moved back home to the Chicago area.  Our first year of dating was a true test of our relationship, since there were close to 300 miles separating us. 

I graduated from college in 2000 and moved to Chicagoland with Mat.  We were married within a few months and welcomed a baby to our family two weeks before our first anniversary.  Through the years we have experienced many highs and lows in our relationship as well as listened to friends and family struggle in their relationships.  Through these experiences we hope to help and entertain our readers by hearing both sexes point of views on life’s many chapters.
